Neoadjuvante behandeling met nivolumab en chemotherapie bij het niet-kleincellig longcarcinoom
In de hier besproken CheckMate 816-studie wordt een significant 5-jaars overlevingsvoordeel van 10,4% aangetoond bij patiënten met resectabel stadium IB-IIIA NSCLC na behandeling met neoadjuvant nivolumab en chemotherapie vergeleken met chemotherapie alleen (HR: 0,72 [95%-BI: 0,52-1,00]; p = 0,048). Dit overlevingsvoordeel voldoet aan de PASKWIL2025-criteria voor curatieve studies voor een positief advies. EMA heeft deze behandeling goedgekeurd voor patiënten met stadium II-IIIA en PD-L1-expressie ≥ 1%. In deze subgroep bedraagt het 5-jaars overlevingsvoordeel 17,6% (HR: 0,59 [95%-BI: 0,35-0,98]).
