Abemaciclib toegevoegd aan endocriene therapie als adjuvante behandeling bij hoogrisico hormoonreceptorpositief mammacarcinoom

In de hier besproken monarchE-studie wordt bij patiënten met een niet-gemetastaseerd hormoonreceptorpositief en HER2-negatief mammacarcinoom en een hoog risico op recidief na een mediane follow-up van 42 maanden een statistisch significante verbetering gezien van het primair eindpunt iDFS bij behandeling met 2 jaar abemaciclib toegevoegd aan endocriene therapie (4-jaars iDFS 85,8 procent versus 79,4 procent; HR: 0,66 [95%-BI: 0,58-0,76]; p < 0,0001). De overlevingscijfers zijn nog niet matuur. Hiermee voldoet deze studie niet aan de PASKWIL2023-criteria voor een voorlopig positief advies voor adjuvante studies. De studie zal worden herbeoordeeld zodra de overlevingscijfers bekend zijn.
