Apalutamide toegevoegd aan standaardbehandeling bij primair gemetastaseerd hormoongevoelig prostaatcarcinoom
In de hier besproken TITAN-studie wordt bij patiënten met primair mHSPC na een follow-up van mediaan 22,7 maanden een statistisch significant betere PFS (HR: 0,48 [95%-BI: 0,39-0,60; P < 0,001) en OS (HR: 0,67 [95%-BI: 0,51-0,89]; P = 0,005) gezien na upfront behandeling met ADT en apalutamide dan na ADT alleen. Dit resultaat voldoet aan de criteria voor een positief advies volgens de PASKWIL-criteria voor palliatieve behandeling.
