Carboplatine plus gemcitabine versus carboplatine alleen bij gerecidiveerd ovariumcarcinoom

Gemcitabine in combinatie met carboplatine als tweedelijnsbehandeling bij vrouwen met een platinumgevoelig recidief van ovariumcarcinoom leidt tot een hoger responspercentage en een langer progressievrij interval dan behandeling met carboplatine alleen, en heeft derhalve meerwaarde. In geval van resterende neurotoxiciteit na eerdere behandeling met paclitaxel lijkt carboplatine plus gemcitabine een goed alternatief.
