Herbeoordeling abirateron bij gemetastaseerd castratierefractair prostaatcarcinoom zonder voorafgaande chemotherapie
In 2013 besprak de commissie BOM de COU-AA-302-studie, waarin abirateron plus prednison werd vergeleken met placebo plus prednison bij chemotherapienaïeve mannen met gemetastaseerd castratierefractair prostaatcarcinoom (CRPC).
Recentelijk werd een update van deze studie gepubliceerd, met nieuwe gegevens ten aanzien van het coprimaire eindpunt OS, tijd tot opiaatgebruik en vervolgbehandelingen. In dit artikel zullen alleen de geactualiseerde resultaten van het primaire eindpunt OS en mediane tijd tot opiaatgebruik worden beoordeeld.
