Nivolumab en ipilimumab gecombineerd met 2 cycli chemotherapie als eerstelijnsbehandeling voor gemetastaseerd niet-kleincellig longcarcinoom
In de hier besproken CheckMate 9LA-studie werd een significante verlenging van het primaire eindpunt, algehele overleving, gezien voor patiënten met een gemetastaseerd NSCLC behandeld met nivolumab en ipilimumab met 2 cycli chemotherapie versus alleen chemotherapie (4,8 maanden: 15,8 versus 11,0 maanden; HR: 0,72 [95%-BI: 0,61-0,86]). De referentiebehandeling van alleen chemotherapie is echter achterhaald. Dit resultaat voldoet aan de criteria voor een positief advies volgens de PASKWIL-criteria voor palliatieve behandeling.
