Toevoeging trastuzumab aan chemotherapie bij het lokaal gevorderd inoperabel of gemetastaseerd maagcarcinoom
Trastuzumab heeft meerwaarde voor patiënten met een irresectabel of gemetastaseerd maagcarcinoom of gastrooesofagale junctiecarcinoom en overexpressie van HER2 (IHC3+ en/of FISH+), indien toegevoegd aan combinatiechemotherapie met cisplatine en 5FU of capecitabine als eerstelijnsbehandeling. Voor bepaling van een positieve HER2-status dienen de naar Hofmann gemodificeerde criteria te worden gevolgd.
