Trastuzumab bij gemetastaseerd mammacarcinoom
Geconcludeerd kan worden dat trastuzumab in combinatie met paclitaxel meerwaarde heeft boven behandeling met paclitaxel alleen bij de behandeling van HER-2 (3+) positieve patiënten met een gemetastaseerd mammacarcinoom. Het advies is om voorlopig terughoudendheid in acht te nemen bij de toepassing van trastuzumab als monotherapie of in combinatie met andere cytostatica dan paclitaxel. De kosten van trastuzumab-behandeling bedragen bij een gemiddelde therapieduur van 18 weken en ƒ 1645,– per kuur ƒ 31.255,– (18 x ƒ 1645,– + eerste kuur dubbele dosis).
