Het gebruik van PLD heeft geen meerwaarde boven doxorubicine. Bij een vergrote kans op cardiotoxiciteit (oudere patiënten) of bij reeds bestaande cardiale risico’s kan PLD als alternatief voor doxorubicine worden toegepast.
